Scott McGuire Named Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Scott McGuire has joined the staff of Environmental Risk as Senior Geotechnical Engineer. Mr. McGuire oversees and completes all coal mining and non-coal permits for refuse storage facilities and coal waste impoundments. Mr. McGuire’s main areas of expertise lies in coal waste impoundment design and inspection, mine design and layout, and production engineering. Furthermore, Mr. McGuire performs field explorations, reserve studies, and pond and hollowfill certifications. Finally, Mr. McGuire experienced in coal and non-coal mining permits in areas such as sediment basin design, diversion ditches, haul roads, pillar designs and subsidence, spoil storage, areas and works closely with contractors and counsel for clients and insurance companies.
