Oversees and completes all coal mining and non-coal permits for sediment basin design, refuse storage facilities, diversion ditches, haul roads, and pillar designs, spoil storage and other areas. Area of expertise lies in mine design and layout, and reclamation liability studies. Performs Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, field explorations, reserve studies, pond certification, pre-blast surveys, and audits. Monitors ongoing reclamation projects and prepares surveillance reports, provides subsidence and stability analyses, conducts underground production and reclamation liability studies, and works closely with contractors and counsel for clients and insurance companies.
