Oversees and completes permits for coal mining operations,.  involving design and planning for sediment control, spoil storage, refuse facilities, including refuse impoundments as well as mine layout and design.  Having come from permit review, she is experienced in the permitting process.  Main areas of expertise lie in watershed hydrology and modeling, drainage control, soil and groundwater chemistry and impoundment design and inspection.  Experienced in KPDES permitting, diversion ditches, haul roads, and wetland management.  Experience in refuse impoundment design involving stability, seepage analysis, and breakthrough considerations.
